Honey, I Blew Up The Kid - work in progress

I uploaded this to DA's scraps, might as well upload it here. It's a test render of a scene I started some time ago and won't be able to finish in a while since my hardware cannot handle the amount of props and characters I plan to use here.

So enjoy a deserted street with no traffic and no pedestrians while our heroes rush to shrink the kid back to normal height :)

Sandwiched

Someone suggested I should do an "unaware giant and some tinies" type of scene. So I came up with a pic that was inspired by the classic "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" film.

Pixar or Dreamworks?

I did a couple of renders with these two characters a long time ago. This one is supposed to be a sort of an argument between the Pixar fans and the Dreamworks fans. The little guy likes Dreamworks (gasp!) despite the fact that Pixar is the best!

A Tight Situation

Made on request. I had to render this scene two times - when the first pass was almost finished, some unpleasant artifacts surfaced that I did not see before, so I had to scrap it, make some adjustments (turns out a custom skin shader was the culprit) and started over. In the final pic some artifacts can still be seen (an occasional bright dot here and there), but you cannot even imagine the amount of those white dots in the previous pass :)

A friend has asked for a widescreen version of the previous pic. I re-rendered the scene in higher resolution.

A sequel to the previous pic. The giant is a bit more playful now. Trying out soft lighting.
